Tim Howell2
Tim Howell, CEO

Tim began his career with Senior Citizens Home Assistance Services in 2001 as Finance Director. He was promoted to CEO in 2008. He is president of the Tennessee Association of Homemaker Service Providers, a member of the National Council on Aging and the Downtown Rotary. Tim graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1990 with a B.S. degree in accounting and has a non-profit certificate from Harvard University.

Ada Shannon CFO

Ada is Chief Financial Officer for Senior Citizens Home Assistance Service, Inc. and Renaissance Terrace Assisted Living, headquartered in Knoxville, TN.  She supervises the areas of Payroll, Accounts Payable & Receivable and Billing as well as Human Resources, Marketing, and Development.  Ada prepares Governing Board financial reports monthly and works closely with United Way with whom SCHAS is partners in 15 East Tennessee Counties.  Ada is a Business Administration graduate of Berea College and a member of Kiwanis.

Patricia Benn Administrator

Patricia Benn became Administrator of Renaissance Terrace in December of 2018.  We are excited to have Pat as part of our team and  will be sharing more info about her soon!

Katie Kinney Activities Coordinator

Katie was born and raised in Holyoke, Massachusetts. She served in the U.S. Navy from 1980-89 as a Cryptologist. With a degree in Business and a background in the ARTS, she brings creativity and a wealth of experience to everything she does. As a former Executive Director of a large social service agency and Risk Manager of an 800-bed long-term care facility Katie understands and has developed many exciting programs for seniors. Katie and her husband moved to Tennessee in 2005 to care for an aging relative. She became involved in SCHAS as a board member in 2007 and resigned to become the Activities Director for RT in 2011.

Michelle Franklin, Dining Services

Michelle graduated from Sullivan University in 2001 with an Associates Degree in the Culinary Arts but has over 25 years experience in the food industry.  Following graduation, Michelle worked in catering, hotels, hospitals and Assisted Livings in food and Beverage Departments.  She has worked closely with Dietitians creating eating plans tailored toward the needs of seniors.  Michelle came to RT in 2009 as the Dining Services Director.

John Tidwell Environmental Services Coordinator

John was born and raised in East Tennessee and a Powell High School graduate. John is married and has 3 children and 2 grandchildren. He and his wife Deborah are active in the community and participate in the Alzheimer’s Tennessee event yearly. With over 25 years of retail management and pharmacy experience with a global drug store chain, John brings a different perspective and fresh ideas to RT.
